Preparing to bring home your Australian Labradoodle

Thanks for choosing an English Manor Puppy,

Before bringing home one of our Puppies we will require you to purchase some item's for the safety and well being of Your new family member.

Some items are a must and some are optional,

Number 1) Puppy Food

4 Health
Chicken Puppy Formula
This is a premium Dog Food found at your local Tractor Supply,
This item Is a must get as your Puppy will be on this food and a switch in food Could cause Tummy upset and loose Stools.
Number 2) Puppy Dewormer
Pyrantel Pamoate Oral suspension
Young puppies are very susceptible to worms and their immunity has not kicked into full gear to regulate parasites for this reason we deworm bi-weekly from 4 weeks on.

We suggest Bi weekly deworming until the puppies are 15 weeks after which this can be scaled back to twice a year. ( your vet will ask for a stool sample twice or once a year for this reason)
Puppy's can be sensitive to deworming and so Pyrantel Paomate is a gentle enough dewormer to not disrupt there sensitive guts.
This is a must
Number 3 ) A "Dog" disinfectant
IMG_4581 (1)_edited.jpg

We will request that you provide a disinfected area in your home and yard prior to pick up. WHY A DOG disinfectant?

Because one of the STRONGEST nearly impossible Viruses to kill happens to be a dog Virus called PARVO and it's the DEADLIEST! Most house hold disinfectants can NOT kill Parvo and this horrible Virus can live for Years on surfaces. Bleach even sometimes proves ineffective against Parvo.

If it says it can kill PARVO well it can pretty much kill EVERYTHING as well so they work the BEST!  This item is easily ordered on line and Walmart carry's it ,

WE STRONGLY advise bringing this product in the car with you when you go to the VET to continue your boosters for your puppy, "NO PAWS ON THE GROUND" !!!

Puppies should absolutely NEVER walk into a Vets office they should be Carried in ! Where is the MOST likely place you are going to contract Parvo Virus ? AT THE VETS !!!! So your Shoe's should be sprayed down before reentering your car to bring your puppy home. Because if your pups paws should not touch the ground what about your shoe's ? ..they can pick up the virus as well ?? Think about it

This is a must

Number 4 ) The Smooth sided Play Pen

A puppy play pen is fantastic for raising your puppy in! It provides Numerous benefits while raising your puppy. WE have seen it ALL here, after 20 years of raising puppies you could not imagine the predicaments puppies could find themselves in that COULD be dangerous!  Wire crates even pose risks to breaking Fragile young puppies bones ( Jaws often get stuck on wired crates while puppies sometimes lick, suck, and chew) Puppy Play Pens made of hard plastics really do give us a better safer option for young puppies then the crates EVER will. Play Pens also offer more room for the puppies and during the Puppy "Diaper stage" allow the puppies time to associate a clean sleeping area from there messy poo area. A Play Pen is great a Smooth Sided Play Pen is better ( see picture) , puppies will on occasion climb over a Play Pen because it's sort of like a ladder where with the Smooth Sided ones they cannot. We have found that when our puppies first go home they are just Happier in Play Pens. We introduce puppies to going outside and get them adjusted to going poo outside BEFORE we introduction to a CRATE, ( once I notice less pooing at night in Play Pen then I'll introduce the Crate this is setting the puppy up for success and I have had many puppies never poo in the crates)

This is Not a MUST but a Highly recommended Suggestion.

Number 5 ) Travel Crate

A Travel Crate, whether picking up your puppy or taking your pup to the Vet for it's Boosters having a safe spot for your puppy while you drive is a NO brainer. Having a puppy crawl all over you while you drive is a distraction from driving, dangerous for you and your new puppy. Be mindful too that puppies will often develop car sickness which can cause them to Vomit in your car , they are also notorious for having a Stress poo within the first ten minutes into a car ride so having a contained safe area for your puppy while traveling is the BEST option.
